Satisfactory 4 to 5 load balancer
With 4 input belts of 480/min each (a full Mk4), the build with the best result is the Looped butterfly: 11 splitters and 10 mergers, with 384/min on each of the 5 outputs.
A splitter only divides by 2 and 3, so part of the flow goes back to the input (a loop) to reach this count.
Step by step
- Bring in the 4 input belts (I1, I2, I3, I4), 480/min each.
- Column 1: 5 splitters into 2.
- Column 2: 4 mergers.
- Column 3: 6 splitters into 3.
- Column 4: 6 mergers; 1 loop return leaves from here.
- Connect the 5 outputs to the destination lines: each carries 384/min.

What it is
A load balancer is a set of splitters and mergers that takes N belts and delivers M belts at exactly the same rate, no matter how much each input carries. There is no “balancer” piece in the game: you build it from regular pieces.
