Satisfactory 6 to 5 load balancer
With 6 input belts of 480/min each (a full Mk4), the build with the best result is the Looped matrix: 18 splitters and 21 mergers, with 480/min on each of the 5 outputs.
A splitter only divides by 2 and 3, so part of the flow goes back to the input (a loop) to reach this count.
Step by step
- Bring in the 6 input belts (I1, I2, I3, I4, I5, I6), 480/min each.
- Column 1: 6 mergers.
- Column 2: 6 splitters into 2.
- Column 3: 12 splitters into 3; 6 loop returns leave from here.
- Column 4: 5 mergers.
- Column 5: 5 mergers.
- Column 6: 5 mergers.
- Connect the 5 outputs to the destination lines: each carries 480/min.

What it is
A load balancer is a set of splitters and mergers that takes N belts and delivers M belts at exactly the same rate, no matter how much each input carries. There is no “balancer” piece in the game: you build it from regular pieces.
